trick and treat : V/H/S

Every year Byron and I try to make it through our vast collection of horror movies. We always save our favorites for Halloween night. In the past few years we have discovered that to watch all of them we have to start our Halloween season pretty early, like, the end of August. So this year I thought it might be fun to document all of the ones we watch and have some kind of themed treat each time.
This year we started out with a new movie, V/H/S. Similar to The Blair Witch Project, V/H/S is a found footage type horror movie that was a breakout at Sundance. Thankfully, the film was available on iTunes so we could watch it in the comfort of our own home. V/H/S is actually six different horror tales tied up into one movie. It would have definitely been scarier on the big screen but the handheld filming was easier to digest on a TV.
Scare factor: I refused to walk through the house in the dark.
Treat: a glass of sparkling rose

  1. Emily, my husband and I like to watch fun horror flicks together, too! We're super excited about the new season of American Horror Story. BTW - I nominated you for the Liebster Award! You are one of my favorite blogs. :) Here's the post if you want to see what it's all about:
