red hair don't care

So, this is my new do. Not what I had planned, but then what in life ever is. Am I right? Long story short... I wanted a cropped blond do like ol' J-Law. Didn't happen. Bad stylist, too much bleach, not enough bleach, etc. It was bad. Like gray hair looking bad. I left. Went somewhere else. Like I said, long story. Anyhew, I am now RED. Like REDREDRED. It's kind of awesome. I kind of love it. The color is a non-permanent stain by Aveda called Elumen. It will eventually lighten and wash out, then I will go with a more natural looking red. But for now, I am bold and bright. I've gotten a lot of compliments from strangers in the past week. One of which really made me think about life and the mistakes we make, intentional or otherwise. This woman was asking me how I got such dimension with the color, so I told her the whole story- bad highlights, red fix. She told me I was lucky to have had such a thing happen and that it's a shame I would never be able to get my hair like this again. I like that point of view. Like if the world doesn't meet our expectations and things don't go as planned, we still end up where we are- which can be a pretty great place. No regrets. More fun. RED.

    1. Thanks! Hair funks are no fun. Change is good for the soul. I always tell myself, it's hair- it will grow again.
