tea time

I sure do love a fancy tea. I had the opportunity to enjoy tea time at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee on Sunday with 29 lovely ladies from a local mom's group. It was such a relaxing child-free afternoon. Everyone I have met since moving to Wisconsin is so kind and welcoming. These moms are no exception.

Our tea was held on the 23rd floor of the Pfister in the bar called Blu. It is a gorgeous room with huge windows overlooking the city and the lake. A tea butler was on hand to introduce us to the various teas and infusions offered. I had the Pfister white tea blend with mint and cinnamon. It was flowery and light and I drank every drop.

Everyone had their own self-tipping, silver tea pot with their own blend of tea.

And the food. Wow. I ordered the Victorian Tea service, which was the most amazing array of sweets and savories. Macarons, mini tiramisu, scones with mascarpone and lemon curd. All the tastes!

The savories were really something special. Honeyed cheese cones, curried quail eggs and smoked salmon with caviar. I loved every bite!
If you visit Milwaukee, do not miss tea at the Pfister! Better yet, take me with you!
